Ontario's Rhubarb Capital-Home of the Rosy Rhubarb Festival!
Pop. 313. In Southwold T., Elgin c., on C. Rds. 3 & 20, 15 km SW of St. Thomas. The place was first called Wilkie's Corners after settler James Wilkie.
When the post office opened in 1875 it was named Corseley.
In 1883 the name changed to Shedden after John Shedden, a local stock grower and president of the Toronto and Nipissing RR, accidentally killed while boarding a train near Lindsay.
