Pop. 479. In the United Cs. of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry on C. Rd. 34,29 km. NE of Cornwall.
The community was first known as Basswood Corner and was renamed in 1878 after the Green Valley Hotel, established by Mary McDonald, perhaps as early as 1840.
