Pop. 336. In Kendall T., Cochrane Dist. on Hwy 11, 13 km E of Hearst. Early settlers called the place Holleywood.
The post office was estab¬lished as Hallewood in 1922. In 1935 the post office name was changed to Halle¬bourg after Bishop Joseph Halle, first bishop of the Diocese of Hearst, in 1910.
