Pop. 179. In Bosanquet T., Lambton C., on the W shore of L. Huron, 42 km. NE of Sarnia.
The name means 'upper wash.'
The summer resort community is on a sandy beach, which was Stoney Point Indian Reservation until 1937 when the government moved the First Nations Peoples into the nearby Kettle Point Indian Reserve and created Ipperwash Provincial Park.
