The name of Irish Lake is likely to have a connection with my mother's family surname, Irish. There were 3 or 4 generations of Irishes who lived in the general Flesherton/Proton Station/Ceylon/Maxwell area. The family moved there from the Ernestown (now Loyalist Township) near Kingston, Ontario. They were United Empire Loyalists.
