- Pop. 691. In Gladstone T., Algoma Dist., on the Mississagi R. and Hwys 17 & 546, 26 km. NW of Blind R., about 112 km E of Sault Ste. Marie.
- When the post office was established in 1886 the name requested by residents was Tally Ho.
- This was rejected by the post office, which called the place Iron Bridge because the ftrst non-wooden bridge in the area had just been built across the Mississagi R. The iron bridge was dismantled, sold, and replaced by a cement bridge in 1949.
