  • Pop.281 In McClure T., Hastings C., Reg. Mun. of Muskoka-Haliburton on Lake St. Peter on Hwy 127,45 km NW of Bancroft.
  • The community was named Porterville in 1912 and renamed in 1940 after the lake, the name of a station established by the Central Ontario Railway in the mid-1800s.
  • Nearby Lake St. Peter Provincial Park contains only 65 acres (26.2 ha) but has clean water and a fine sand beach.
