Description From Owner:

Pop. 32,750. Part of the City of Mississauga, on C. Rds. 5 & 7, 24 km. NW of Toronto. Settled by Samuel Moore in 1823, and named Malton by Richard Halliday in the 1830s after his birthplace in North Yorkshire, England.
The name remained when the post office was opened in 1856. Toronto Airport opened just south of here in 1937 and for years was known as Malton Airport.
The name was changed to Toronto International Airport and later to Lester B. Pearson International Airport, honouring Hon. Lester Bowles Pearson, prime minister of Canada 1963-1968.
