  • Pop. 145. In Simcoe C. on C. Rd. 43, 5 km N. of Barrie. In 1830 George Oliver received a land grant on which to build saw and grist mills.
  • The place was called Oliver's Mills until 1863 when it was renamed after Midhurst in West Sussex, England.
