Pop. 591. In Roxborough T., Stormont C., on Hwy 138 and C. Rd. 43, 22 km NW of Cornwall.
The name first appears, misspelled as Mockland, on an 1875 map. It is misspelled again on a 1906 map since the place was named after Monklands, home of the Governor-General, in Montreal.
