- Pop. 313. In Fenelon T., Victoria C., on the E shore of Sturgeon L., Nof C. Rd. 26, 15 km. N of Lindsay.
- The first settler, in 1855, was a man named Bell. In the mid-l 890s John Hay bought land, divided it into lots and sold them as cottage sites.
- In 1913 a Pleasant Point Cottagers' Association was formed. Over the years the place was known as Burnell, Byrnell, Hayes Point and Hay's Point. When it was incorporated as a police village in 1927 it was named Pleasant Point.
