Pop. 89. In the town of Dunnville, Reg. Mun. of Haldimand-Norfolk at the mouth of the Grand R. 11 km. SE of Dunnville.
The community was first called River Mouth and later, The Point. After Lt. Gov. Sir Peregrine Maitland visited the area for a few days in the 1820s, the place was renamed to honour him.
