Description From Owner:

Pop. 173. In Renfrew C. on a tributary to the Madawaska R. and C. Rd. 515, 34 km. SE of Barry's Bay.
In 1893 the place was called Strathtay, but in 1907 it was renamed after pioneer miller August Quade. When the cancellation hammer arrived for the post office the name was spelled Quadville. In 1921 the name was finally corrected.
