Pop. 606. In the Reg. Mun. of York on C. Rd. 12,49 km N of Toronto. The place was first known as The Four Corners.
The post office was established in 1851 as Queensville. The place was so named by the wife of post¬master James Aylward because the post office was on Queen Street which had been so named after Queen Victoria.
