Pop. 500. Part of the City of Brampton in the Reg. Mun. of Peel on Hwy 10 and C. Rd. 14,8 km. NW of Brampton.
The place was settled in 1838 by John Snell and first called Edmonton after a district in London, England.
In 1859 the name was changed to honour Snell and to prevent mail from going to the new community in Alberta of the same name.
