  • Pop. 500. Part of the City of Brampton in the Reg. Mun. of Peel on Hwy 10 and C. Rd. 14,8 km. NW of Brampton.
  • The place was settled in 1838 by John Snell and first called Edmonton after a district in London, England.
  • In 1859 the name was changed to honour Snell and to prevent mail from going to the new community in Alberta of the same name.
