Pop. 1,736. In East Nissouri and North Oxford Ts., Oxford C., on the Middle Thames R. and C. Rds. 2, 45 & 119, 22 km NE of London.
The place was fIrst called St. Andrews and was named Thamesford when the post office was established in 1851 at a ford across the river.
