Pop. 129. In Timiskaming Dist., 5 km N of Hwy 65, 17 km NE of New Liskeard.
The community was named in 1909 after a visit by Rev. George Thorneloe, Anglican bishop of Algoma. The incorrect spelling of the name was never corrected.
