- Pop. 234, In Walsingham T., Norfolk C., on Big.Cr. and C. Rd. 59, 30 km SE of Tillsonburg.
- The community's first name was Spring Arbor. The first settlers in the early 1800s were the Cope family, after which the place was known for a time as Cope's Landing, and later, Pleasant Hill.
- In 1863, Stephen Decatur Brown laid out building lots and the place became known as Brownstown.
- In 1877 the post office opened as Walsingham Centre, after the township, named after Little and Great Walsingham in Norfolk, England, the home of Sir Robert Walpole when he was British prime minister. The Centre was dropped in 1914.
