Description From Owner:

Pop. 96. In Huron C. on C. Rds. 12 & 25, 45 km SE of Goderich. John Hewitt and his wife Anna settled here about 1859.
Hewitt was born in Walton in Buckinghamshire, England and married Anna Button there. They sailed for Canada in 1843, eventually settling here. In 1862 they named their new home community Walton.
