Pop. 434. In Mosa T., Middlesex C. on the Thames R. and C. Rds. 1 & 2, 61 km SW of London.
The community was named after the frrst permanent settler, John Ward, who arrived in 1810.
When the post office opened in 1832 the place was named Mosa after the T. The name was changed in 1856, 11 years before its incorporation as a village.
