Pop. 30. In Kenora Dist. on the north shore of Werner L., 90 km by air NW of Kenora.
The community is accessible by road only from Manitoba via Hwy 315. The lake was named in 1939 after prospector George Werner. The place took the name of the lake in 1965.

Hwy 315 once you across into Ontario is a private mining road with big time fines if your caught on it without a permit. Travel at your own risk.
