Pop. 547. In Williamsburg T., Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry Cs., on C. Rds. 18 & 31, 8 km NW of Morrisburg.
The place was named after Prince William Henry (1765-1837), son of George III. Dr. Mahlon W. Locke (1880-1942) operated an internationally known clinic in Williamsville during the 1920s and 1930s.
His technique of 'manipulative surgery' for the relief of rheumatism and arthritis drew patients from as far away as Europe.

Researching my ancestry I have discovered John Cook III U.E.L. and M.P. was born November 28, 1791, in the Township of Williamsburg. At one time he owned most of the land on which the Village of Williamsburg now stands. He conducted a store and engaged extensively in the lumber business in the Western Part of Upper Canada. John 1791-1887 and his wife Catherine 1795-1878 are resting in the Old Union Cemetery in Williamsburg. robertcook@cogeco.ca

I have lived on the home place at one time called Mcintosh Road and it was renamed Forest Road which was submitted by mother margrete harriman

Where do I start. I grew up here with my family. The Schneiders meat market and the corner red and white store to shop at. I went to school at the (what is now a library I think and my school teacher was Ms Murial McIntosh). It's been over 35 years since i have been home there. i lived in the house down from the red and white store across from the big house with the large covered drive way.
