- Pop. 19,800. Part of the Town of Vaughan, Reg. Mun. 01 York on the Humber R. and C. Rds. 7 & 17, 26 km NW of Toronto.
- The first settler was Rowland Burr, who built a flour mill in 1837 and laid out town lots.
- The place was known as Burwick or Burwick's Mills until the post office opened in 1855.
- A post office by that name already existed. At the suggestion of the then reeve of Vaughan T., the community was called Woodbridge after a town in Sussex, England.
