My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We both ordered the fish and chips. The food came to our table quick, hot and tasty. We also had the pleasure to talk with the owners Hoss and Karen. Very friendly people. My only regret is that I did not order a milkshake as the table next to us did and from what we heard they were delicious. Will definitely be back and will be mentioning this place to our friends and neighbors.

The owners are very welcoming and cheery. The food portions are substantial, freshly made and very tasty. The Elvis vibe is great - if you miss the old Newport in Ottawa, you'll love Hoss's. If you find yourself in Carrying Place, it's definitely worth a visit.

Stumbled upon this little spot while traveling. Nothing fancy, just good quality casual diner-style stuff (best fries I've had in a long time!). Hoss adds a personal touch, and was super friendly to our little one. Always appreciated. Covid protocols are in place (outdoor dining only, pickup window, etc).

Don't let the name scare you off... This is a very nice diner. Clean. Friendly staff. Lots of good menu choices. Lots of room! This place is way bigger than you'd expect on the outside. One large area is for events - bands, auctions, whatever. Food was yummy and well priced. We will definitely eat here again when we are in the area!

I had the dinner of the day, which today was shepherd's pie, hubby had roast beef. They were both excellent, the side salad (greek) was ample and tasty as well. Seniors always get a discount if you ask. We loved the 50's decor and music, very authentic. There is an adjoining ice cream shop. We will be back, probably for their all day breakfast, we've heard good things.

I've been going for 3 years. Great service, good prices, and delicious food. Their eggs are just phenomenal. Usually pretty crowded because it's so good.

One of the better breakfast spots in town. Very few chairs open most visits - sign of a happy clientele.
