In Wainfleet T., Reg. Mun. of Niagara, 8 km SW of Port Colborne. The place was first called Morgan's Point for David Morgan who landed here by accident in the 1700s, and settled.
In 1885 the name was changed to honour Col. Fred Burnaby who was in Sudan on a trip to Afghanistan.
