Description From Owner:
- Pop. 107. In Rear of Yonge and Prescott Ts., Leeds C.at the N end of Charleston L., 2 km. S of C. Rd. 40, 25 km NW of Brockville.
- The place was settled in 1775 by United Empire Loyalists from Chariestown, Mass., which later became a part of Boston. David Hamilton settled here in 1836 and built the first hotel.
- In 1875 the place was shown on a map as Wiltsie. In 1889 Adam Annstrong opened Cedar Park Inn and later Edward Duffield built a third hotel.
- In 1908 all buildings along the lake front were destroyed by fire. In 1942 Cedar Park Inn burned and in 1956 the village post office and general store also burned.
