- Pop. 42. In South Crosby T., Leeds & Grenville C., at the NE tip of Newboro L. on Hwy. 15 and C. Rds. 14 & 42, 35 km SW of Smiths Falls.
- The place was called Singleton from 1889-1902 and 1912-22 after the first postmaster William T. Singleton. It was called Crosby after the T., from 1902-12 and from 1922 to the present.
- The T., created in 1798 is believed named for Brass Crosby, Lord Mayor of London, a friend of Lt.-Gov. John Graves Simcoe.
