- Pop. 74. In Fullarton T., Perth C. on the North Thames R. and C. Rds. 20 & 163, 20 km W of Stratford.
- The community took its name from the T. which was named in 1830 for John Fullarton, a director of the Canada Company that had been established in Britain in the 1820s to colonize the Huron Tract, a large area of what is now Southwestern Ontario.
- In 1853 James Woodley laid out a town site and called it Summervale, though most called the place Fullarton's Corners. In 1854 the post office opened as Fullarton.
