- Pop. 127. In Nottawasaga T., Simcoe C., on the Mad R. 24 km S of Collingwood.
- It is named for the glen in which it is situated and for the Huron Indian tribe which first inhabited the region. James D. Stephens (nicknamed 'Tally-He' Stephens) arrived in 1845, built a carding mill and opened the Green Bush Hotel.
- The post office came in 1869 and postmaster Mr. Frame chose the name Glen Huron.
