  • Pop. 195. In Morson T. in Rainy River Dist. on the S shore of Lake of the Woods and C. Rd. 621, 61 km NE of Rainy River.
  • Morson T. Was established in 1928 and incorporated in 1956.
  • Two sources for the name are offered: 1) the Morrison family was among the nine pioneer families that settled the area, but Morrison T. was changed to Morson because at the time another Morrison T. existed in Ontario.
  • 2) named in 1927 after Frederick Montye Morson of Toronto, who was made a judge in 1891.
