Pop. 195. In Morson T. in Rainy River Dist. on the S shore of Lake of the Woods and C. Rd. 621, 61 km NE of Rainy River.
Morson T. Was established in 1928 and incorporated in 1956.
Two sources for the name are offered: 1) the Morrison family was among the nine pioneer families that settled the area, but Morrison T. was changed to Morson because at the time another Morrison T. existed in Ontario.
2) named in 1927 after Frederick Montye Morson of Toronto, who was made a judge in 1891.
