In Sydenham T., Grey C. on Hwy. 26 and C. Rd. 18, 14 km E of Owen Sound.
In the early 1800s a log hotel was built here which became a popular stopping place for mail and weary stage coach passengers. A post office opened at the hotel in 1852 and school classes were also held there.
