- Hilts Butchers Shop Ltd was established in 1977. In the beginning we were a custom cutting butcher shop.
- When the new guidelines came into effect regarding farm processing in the 1980's Hilts Butcher Shop became a limited company and part of OMAFRA's provincially government meat inspected plants and known as our Legend # 182.
- Hilts Butcher Shop is four generations owned and operated and has been serving the Peterborough, Hastings, Prince Edward and Northumberland counties since 1977.
- Although Ron Hilts retired 15 years ago he is still very active in the Butcher Shop. Hilts Butcher Shop is very active in our community and supports many local fundraisers and charities.
