Description From Owner:
  • Moore Orchards is an award-winning, family owned and operated fruit farm. We grow apples, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, rhubarb and pears.
  • Freshly pressed cider, made from our own hand picked, refrigerated apples, is made on site; as well as apples cider vinegar.
  • Pies and preserves are homemade with our own fruit and treasured family recipes.
  • We have cold storage to ensure that our apples are fresh right through the season (usually from Aug. to the end of March).
  • Our fruit is grown following strict IPM guidelines and we are working toward CanadaGap certification for 2013.
  • Local grocery stores carry our product: David's No Frills (Cobourg), Fisher's Foodland (Cobourg), Davis Independent (Port Hope) and Sharpe's (Campbellford).
  • Moore Orchards also has an on-farm retail space, and is a long time member of the Cobourg Farmers' Market.
  • We sell wholesale to processors and distributors. Come visit us at Moore Orchards and see why we won the National 'Apple Grower of the Year' competition, at the Royal Winter Fair, three times!

Went to the cobourg farmers market and found this little gem of a booth. Greeted by a sweet couple. The pie was soooo good! Very flaky and just the right amount of tart to sweetness ratio with fresh fruit inside! (strawberry raspberry) and the hot chocolate cookies were really good also! Will definitely look for this booth again on a next visit! As a matter of fact I would drive from Mississauga just to get some pies again!

Classic Ontario apple orchard. Easy to find just off old Highway 2. The apples were plentiful especially my favourite, Empire. $9 for several lbs of apples that you can pick in 10-15 minutes. Also picked up a litre of Apple Cider for $4 and 'Gramma's' sweet pickles $7.

So trusting there is a cash box for customers to pay without assistance. Great jams and home-made pies etc. Strawberries in summer are wonderful and fun to pick-your-own, great variety of apples. Always a pleasant experience.
