  • Pop. 18,175. Town in the Reg. Mun. of Niagara. The town was created in 1970 by regional government by the amalgamation of the Town of Beamsville, the T. of Louth, and the police villages of Camp den, Jordan, Jordan Station, and Vineland.
  • It was named after the former county of Lincoln of which it was once a part. Lincoln C. was created in 1792 by Col. John Graves Simcoe, fIrst lieutenant-governor of Upper Canada. It was named after Lincolnshire, England.
