The new vibe at the former location of Cara Mia is all-around better: better prices, better eats, a nice and ever-improving patio space, and a welcoming and fun staff. Great ice cream, great cookies, and a rotating variety of baked goods (all of which are delicious - DO NOT take a pass on the homemade tarts or the savoury rolls, and the lasagna is apparently to die for because my brother doesn't eat anything else). There are also gourmet items you can't find anywhere else. I also recommend subscribing to their newsletter, it's fun and cute - but also because you won't miss out on whatever tasty thing they're cooked up for the week. If you're in Warkworth for a festival, they will almost undoubtedly be doing peameal bacon sandwiches, which really are the best thing (at the best price) you can get in town (waaaaaay better than a hot dog). Don't pass this place up if you're passing through! As a local, I buy all my bread there, and it all freezes marvellously. I really can't say enough good things about this place! I'm so glad we have it in Warkworth.
