Wantasa Resort is a family run operation and has been since the beginning. Having been raised in the Kawarthas, we spent all our time on the lake and share many special memories here. We can’t wait to share this beautiful landscape with all of you.
We pride ourselves on offering reasonable rates, a comfortable and relaxing setting, and look forward to welcoming you as our guest.
All cottages have electric baseboard heat, thermostatically controlled. Each cottage has a gas barbeque.
All cottages have full baths, kitchens equipped with stoves, refrigerators, toasters, microwaves, single cup pod coffee makers and cooking utensils. We supply bed linen and blankets. Please bring your own towels, soap, and papers.
We have a free lending library with books, puzzles and board games. There is a games room with ping pong, air hockey and foosball tables, and we also have a canoe, paddleboats, kayaks, and paddleboards which are free to use. Signed waiver required..
Registered guests who expect visitors must advise the office in advance and have them sign in at the office on arrival. A charge of $5.00 per person and $7.00 parking/dockage will be included in registered guests bill unless paid by their visitors. If vi
We do not supply life jackets for children. Please bring your own. We also do not supply whistles or waterproof flashlights that are required by law. Anyone renting boats and/or motors will be required to sign a waiver and is held responsible for damage.
Cancellation Policy: 60 days or less – no refund of deposit. More than 60 days – deposit refunded less $75.00 administration fee.

Our family has been coming here since 1935. We love the humble charm of the cottages and all the fun the grounds have to offer: beach, boats, complimentary kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards, and a general store/restaurant/bar within walking distance. The owners and maintenance team are very kind, patient, and quick to help. We will always love Wantasa.

Was looking for a place to take all 3 of our kids and grandkids for a week at a cottage in July. We needed 4 separate cottages as there is a total of 18! There was 8 adults and 10 grandkids ranging from 8-3.5 years old. Linda and the whole staff were nothing short of AMAZING! Those 10 little ones had so much fun they are still talking about it 2 months later. We are going back! Already booked in!!

People are friendly, relaxed and easy going. You feel welcomed and at ease. Beautiful area and the owner is wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing experience at the Wantasa Resort. They were ever accommodating and all the more kind. The boats available for rentals are great, at wonderful prices. They have kayaks, canoes, standing boards, and paddle boards free for use with your cottage rental. The waterfront is absolutely beautiful, and very well kept. We met the owner and many of the other workers and each and everyone of them greeted us with exuberance and made sure we all felt completely comfortable and happy with our stay. Cottages are very peaceful and have just what you need when you are on the lake; gorgeous deck with a gorgeous view. I cannot say enough nice things about this place! Recommend to anyone interested in renting a cottage:-)!!!!
